Acupuncture has grown a solid reputation for supporting fertility and is recommended by many IVF clinics.

Acupuncture can help to reduce stress levels, and have an overall positive effect on fertile health for both natural conception and during Assisted reproductive treatment. Acupuncture has been shown to increase the blood flow to the ovaries which helps the maturing follicles and eggs get the optimal environment for producing healthy embryos. Research into the mechanisms of acupuncture have shown that it can regulate the hormonal balance, boost progesterone levels and improve the lining of the womb. In men it has also been shown in some research trials, to have a positive effect on  sperm count, morphology and motility.

Jill has undertaken additional specialist training in Fertility Support including a Diploma in Advanced Fertility Acupuncture with Naava Carman. She has supported hundreds of women and couples in their fertility journeys and has a special interest in this area. Every woman’s story and fertility journey is unique. Jill will work with you to help you understand your own fertility and give you individual lifestyle and dietary advice to help nourish your fertility.

Eggs take 90 days and sperm 100 days to mature so it is best to come for acupuncture 3 months before trying to conceive or before starting IVF treatment. However, we are happy to see you at any stage of your fertility journey.

If you would like to book an appointment or would like to have any questions, get in touch with Jill here or call 07772 501810.
